Optoelectronic Development Engineer, Devon, optical modelling, thermal modelling, LabView
To undertake responsibility for the design and development of opto-electronic products for Telecoms and Industrial applications.
You will:
Work as part of an extended R&D team to develop opto-electronic products and apply consideration to the cost and manufacturability implications of the design solution.
Carry out lab based testing on new proto-type designs as proof of concept.
Participate in cross-functional design reviews to critique design solutions.
Work closely with the Product Engineering function to manage the smooth transition of product manufacture.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience in physics, electronic engineering, or closely related discipline.
Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of optical / thermal modelling of opto-electronic devices would be advantageous. Knowledge of data analysis and technical report writing are essential.
A working knowledge of Lab view would be beneficial.
