Test Development Engineer, Devon, C#, C sharp, VB, visual basic, optical, telecoms
The Test Engineer is required to develop test solutions required for verification of optical modules and electronic control modules used in the communications industry. The test solutions will be developed upon existing test software and hardware suites in addition to developing custom solutions when needed. Skills required include development of software for automated testing (C#, VB required), set-up and operation of test hardware and previous experience of software release management. Of benefit would be knowledge of optical components and integration to electronic control schemes.
The role will involve working in a verification team that takes a detailed design specification, develops a detailed verification test plan and then performs the required verification on releases of designed modules. The specific role within this team is to develop the software routines and set-up of hardware to perform verification to the test plans. In addition, hands-on verification of product will be required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Honours degree or equivalent in electronics/software or related subject
Experience in development of software, ideally in verification activities
Software experience preferably in C#, VB
Test equipment set-up and running including hardware and software control
Management of release control of software and hardware solutions
Verification of at least one release of product to field deployment
