Hardware Engineer, Northants, digital, power supply, FPGA, VHDL, C, VXWorks, PCI, SRIO, XAUI
My client have a vacancy for a Hardware Engineer who will design, develop and commission state of the art DSP, Networking and Graphics products.
The key requirements for the position are:
High speed digital design Power PC, x86, PCI etc..
High speed serial Fabric experience PCIe, SRIO, XAUI etc...
Power supply design
CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL
Able to work with ITAR restricted documents
Good interpersonal skills
Good documentation skills
Ability to think"Outside the box"
Previous experience preferably in Military or Automotive environment.
You will be a graduate in an Electronics discipline with a "can do" approach and be prepared to get stuck into exciting product developments. C programming and any experience of VxWorks will be beneficial.
A flexible team player with good communication skills you will be capable of giving technical presentations and working technically with customers worldwide. You must also be prepared to travel.
