Based in the North, Munich or potentially at home our client is looking for Marketing/Business Development Manager with a strong lighting background. Candidates should have a good understanding of the current lighting landscape e..g mobile, backlighting, signs as example. Audio experience would also be beneficial. You primary goal will be to analysis the current competitive landscape and the work with engineering teams in defining new products and launching these products into the markte. The successful candidates will have full P&L responsibility and take ownership for the complete product life-cycle, this is true cradle to grave management. You will work extensively with customers in segmenting and analysing the competitive landscape. You will need to generate business cases and justify ROIs. You will produce all relevant product marketing material and associated systems to aid design-in and assist the sales forces in promoting your products globally. Pricing and product positions will of course be part of your remit.
Hence we are looking for candidate degree qualified or similar with at least 5 year marketing experience within the semiconductor, IC or lighting marketplaces. Ideally you will have analogue or power technical skills, knowledge of the OLED, LED or LCD marketplaces would also be beneficial as would lighting experience. This role will require travel and in addition any German language skills would also be well received.
