Hardware / Applications Engineer, North West, power, semiconductor, EMC, analogue, SMPS, simulation, PSpice, PCB, thermal
Generation of reference designs, demo-boards for new semiconductor and existing semi-conductor devices.
Creation of application notes, design guides and other technical publications.
Train Internal and external staff on new product launch and new application ideas.
Solve customer electronic problems associated with use of company products.
UK based and must be willing and able to travel globally.
Knowledge:
A thorough academic understanding of electronics.
A sound understanding of thermal management.
Understanding of EMC especially in switching circuits.
Experience:
Proven track record of designs in SMPS related products.
PCB design plus generation of schematics & BOMs.
Of analogue simulation PSPICE etc.
Skills:
A demonstrable ability for analogue design at discrete level.
Demonstrable knowledge of portable equipment power management.
Written & verbal communicating.
