<p>Working for this leading and established consultancy, in partnership with a wide range of clients from design houses to multi-nationals, across numerous market sectors, you will be given complete responsibility for the development cycle of projects and control of your own destiny.
<p>The emphasis of their ASIC group is developing low cost and low power electronic products for high volume production. At the core of this business is their ability to develop highly integrated IC solutions.<p>In this role you will be responsible for:
<li>Preparing and working from specifications for analogue IC functions of products and converting them into silicon solutions.
<li>Defining the most suitable analogue system design/architecture to meet the specification.
<li>Detailed design of analogue circuits
<li>Defining and advising on IC floor-plans and working with the ASIC vendor to check DRC and LVS results prior to sign-off.
<li>Specifying test requirements and liaising with IC test engineers
<li>Supervision and mentoring of junior engineers.
<li>Working as part of a close-knit multi-disciplinary project team focussed on delivering the design solution to clients.
<li>Participation in sales meetings with clients
<li>Preparation and contribution to proposals and quotations.
<li>Maintaining and developing CAD systems to enhance development capability.
<li>Defining best practice for analogue IC design.
<li>Creating novel design solutions
<p>At least 5 years experience in CMOS (although Bipolar would also be of interest) IC design (specification through to layout and test) is required. Experience in low power, low voltage design techniques is particularly desirable, as is experience in the telecoms or instrumentation markets. Successful candidates will be have a proven 'right first time track record' and the ability to work effectively in a team orientated environment
