<p>This is an opportunity to join one of the truly dynamic pre-IPO organisations within the semiconductor market. A fabless design company specialising in RF and Analogue IC design within wireless and broadband communications, our client's patented technology means that they are uniquely positioned to capture a dominant market in a number of niche areas.
<p>With development and marketing centres in UK, Canada and West Coast US, design is being driven by a team of senior Analogue and RF IC designers who are unrelenting in their pursuit of quality and innovation. Working alongside these engineers is a senior management and sales team with exceptional contacts within the market, with the one overriding goal of achieving a successful IPO in the medium term.
<p>Our client is now seeking 2 skilled RF design engineers at board / systems level. The first role involves a large amount of customer contact, and could be described as an applications engineering position. "Designing in" chips into customers' designs, the successful candidate will have strong RF systems / board level design experience, and will ideally have knowledge of power amplifiers, understand the issues relating to linear versus non-linear amplifiers, etc. This role will involve a large amount of European travel.
<p>The second role is for more of a "product specialist" with knowledge of cellular or bluetooth mobile handsets. With some customer contact, the primary thrust of this role is to define new RF products in conjunction with clients and the design team. Good RF systems knowledge is obviously key for this role.
