Our client is a leading semiconductor company; their main development activities are built around expertise in the areas of LSI, software applications development and board level design. They have an immediate requirement for an embedded Software Engineer to work within a team developing a range of drivers for the companies microcontrollers targeted at Engine and Transmission management systems. As well as designing and writing the drivers the role will involve understanding requirements, which may entail occasional travel to customer sites in Europe. You will have 2+ years experience as a real-time embedded C software engineer. Have experience of various RTOS, including an understanding of their internal operations (Task swapping, scheduler, IPMs etc), and assembler and device driver writing experience. Also of interest would be structured analysis and design, UML development and Misra guidelines experience.
