My client are a successful CEM (contract electronic manufacturer), based in Buckinghamshire. The main focus is multi-layer, high technology printed circuit boards for various aplications including military contracts. They have an immediate requirement for an experienced ATE programming engineer. (Automatic test equipment)
The successful candidate will have knowledge of;
DFM (design for manufacture) and DFT (design for test), and be able to review customer data and address any issues.
The generation, definition and checking of solder paste stencils
The import of CAD data to internal system (tecnomatix)
Creation and maintenance of SPEA flying probe programs (Siemens Si-place experience for occasional use would be a real advantage)
Generation and maintenance of JTAG boundary scan programs
Familiarity with programming equipment such as dataIO or BPMicro
Ideally qualified to at least a HNC in an electronics related discipline, although proven industry experience is highly valued as is experience of a role similar to this position.
