Technical Account Manager - Protocol Conformance & Performance (PCP)
South UK
A position exists for a Technical Sales person in Protocol Conformance & Performance Testing . This position requires good knowledge of PSTN & Next Generation (NGN) protocols and testing methods of both Equipment Manufacturers and Fixed & Mobile Operators. Promoting both Lab based development tools and field solutions to suit customer applications in the PSTN, Mobile, VoIP, IP, IMS and other signalling and media test areas. Applicants should ideally have knowledge of Telecom Manufacturers (NEMs) and/or Carrier organisations together with Signalling knowledge would be a distinct advantage for this role.
You will be responsible for:
The development of Sales in a specific number of strategic Major Accounts/Territory or Product Set and will focus on a selection of technologies according to your background and expertise. You will define an account development program for each of these accounts, in order to grow sales revenues for Frame's expanding distribution product portfolio.
Developing a good operational understanding of each Major Account and be fully aware of their core business issues and strategies.
Building new relationships and enhancing existing relationships with key decision-making individuals within these major accounts, to maximize sales opportunities within each account.
Providing detailed monthly forecasts to meet Company & Personal objectives.
Key Skills should include-
Exceptional prospecting and proposal skills. You should be PC literate and able to create your own quotations/proposals for customers expediently.
An ability to self-generate sales opportunities and provide a clear and concise brief for telemarketing to assist in Product and Account penetration.
An ability to identify potential future requirements for test equipment and keep abreast of new telecom technologies as they evolve. You will be aware of the need for continual learning, self study and training to keep pace with the industry and our expanding product line.
Ability to demonstrate a successful sales track record selling into the corporate sector. (Preferably into the Telecom & ISP industries)
A good technical background in general Telecommunications and having an Understanding of IP, ISDN, SS7, Wireless, PSTN, VoIP, ATM, Transmission, Ethernet, Optical or similar technologies would be a distinct advantage.
A good understanding of Telecommunications & Networking LAN/WAN and familiar with CRM systems.
