An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Drives Systems Engineer to work at my client's site based in Buckinghamshire near Milton Keynes. The site will be easily commutable from Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or possibly Northamptonshire. Our client is a global provider of Drives / VSD automation / process control systems and services to the production environment. They boast a huge base of customers and installed systems in many industries. With multi million sales within the UK and a rich history in the design and manufacture of Drive systems, my client continues to push the boundaries in the manufacturing of drives systems.
Due to substantial growth my client requires a Drives Systems Engineer / LDSC (local drives systems) engineer to be responsible for the design, application, engineering and installation of Drives Systems Solutions. You will be responsible for a number of technical duties including, designing, planning, testing, installing, constructing and maintaining drive systems. Designing responsibilities will include hardware design, schematics, BOM and assembly layouts. You will be required to commission equipment on customer's sites in the UK mainly but overseas travel may be necessary. Attend emergency call outs when appropriate. Supporting the Project Management team and carrying out your own project management on smaller projects.
Required experience for this role will be vast knowledge of complex drives and drives systems, preferably at least five years working experience. Working familiarity of CLX software, RS View and RS Linx. You will be qualified to degree or an equivalent level in engineering, technical or a computer based qualification.
