An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Support Specialist to work for our clients who are an exciting and rapidly growing business involved in some innovative and exciting areas of technological development and specialist Instruments. My client's headquarters are based in Bedfordshire so you will be able to commute to this location so preferably you will live in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire or Hertfordshire. You may also live in Milton Keynes, Luton or possibly Dunstable. My client are recruiting and investing in a number of areas and have in place a strategic plan that will see them grow substantively in the coming years
There is a requirement for a Product Support Specialist /Technical Support Specialist. The main task of this role is to produce 3D assembly drawings for my client's specialist instruments using the various different computer aided design packages such as AutoCAD, Solidworks or Solidedge. You will provide product support so to streamline their design drawings for manufacture and provide improved sub-assemblies so to reduce bill of materials. You will also develop there build instructions for their products so to improve their overall assembly operation. You will have excellent communication skills and a good working knowledge of producing and using BOM's and also NPI procedures.
You will have a technical background and be computer literate with some knowledge of production engineering. You will be an organised and motivated individual with the ability to transfer products from design to manufacture and be able to demonstrate an excellent operational experience in BOM management. Key to this role is the capability to provide technical support during the manufacture of a product and you will be educated to HNC level or a relevant equivalent qualification.
