I am looking to recruit a Senior Buyer / Buyer in - Electronic Components to join my client's team in Milton Keynes, Bucks. My client is one of the most advanced contract electronic manufacturers within the United Kingdom.
The successful Buyer's responsibilities will include:
"Selecting best practice (franchised) suppliers to provide electronic components as required by the Company's SAP-MRP system.
"Negotiating most competitive price and delivery terms to meet production plans.
"Managing Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to agreed targets.
"Undertaking quarterly reviews with key suppliers to ensure compliance to required standards.
"Submitting costing information as required by the business.
"Covering for other team members as and when required.
Likely to be CIPS qualified (or progressing towards completion), you will have some experience of Buying, ideally electronics buying preferably with a contracts electronics manufacturer (CEM). You will be familiar with MRP concepts whilst any SAP experience will be advantageous. You will be competent in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook.
