My client is a world renowned innovator and supplier of industrial automation. A fantastic opportunity has opened up for an Logistics Planner/ Stores Manager seeking an opportunity to manage a team of staff at its Regional Distribution Centre.
The role will involve managing the warehouse function on a daily/weekly basis, devising cost-saving opportunities and future strategies in line with the projected company growth. The role will involve frequent communication with Product Managers and Sales Managers as well as MDC based logistics controllers, the product profile must be maintained at appropriate levels to minimise loss through write off whilst maximising sales opportunities. You will be a confident communicator and will liaise with stockists, supplier's internal staff and external staff. You will manage QB returns from customers, ensuring such returns are collated and despatched to MDC on a weekly basis, or as otherwise appropriate dependent on volume and continually review delivery performance from suppliers and take appropriate corrective/avoiding actions. You will continually review delivery performance from suppliers and take appropriate steps ensure all purchase orders and associated invoices are processed in a reliable and timely manner to maintain the optimum service levels and develop the reporting system to identify and inform management of impending failures to fulfil customer orders.
You will minimise stock write off costs by review and management of impending obsolete/aged stock. You will ensure purchase orders and related invoices are processed in a reliable and timely manner to maintain the optimum service levels. You will have in depth knowledge of relevant SAP systems and the product range and knowledge of German an advantage. You will be a car driver and have clean licence and Fork lift experience may be beneficial.
