An Applications Engineering position requiring skills in mixed-signal/analog design and PCB design. Experience in audio, transducers & Good communication skills. RF knowledge, in particular GSM would be an advantage.
<p>In this position, you will be responsible for the:-
<li>Application of & the technical support of mixed signal and power management IC's Specification, development & design proving of baseband/RF interface, timing and control and audio circuitry.
<li>Guiding customers through full design verification and characterisation including proof of any necessary design changes to ensure excellent mass production yield.
<li>Providing professional design and test documentation for customerinspection.
<li>Providing technical support for customers, design & manufacturing engineers.
<li>Providing responses and/or solutions to customer issues in a timely manner.
<li>Participating in customer visits, as required, for issue resolution and/or project reviews.
<p>Skills required:-
<li>B.Sc. or equivalent in electronics.
<li>Excellent analogue and mixed signal circuit design skills with 3+ years experience.
<li>Practical experience of developing and proving analogue circuitry including associated support circuitry, good design proving and integration experience.
<li>Good understanding of analogue design at all levels.<li>Understanding of acoustic transducers and methods of driving acoustic transducers.
<li>Knowledge of acoustic measurements and an understanding of the effects of RF on audio circuitry. Experience of power management for battery operated equipment.
<li>Digital and audio EMC & PCB layout skills.<
li>Excellent communication (both oral and written).
<li>Good teamworking skills across countries and cultures; willingness and ability to work directly with customers including travel to their sites.
<p>Desirable: GSM application design experience. Familiarity with cellular handset design issues. Language skills.
