An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join a premier technology company, based in Reading, with innovative design and manufacturing capabilities in motion control and electronic components. Its standard and custom product solutions are used in industrial, commercial, medical, marine, aerospace and defence applications.
In this Senior Management position you will be responsible for Production, Logistics and Supply Chain. As the Operations Manager you will inspire, lead and manage multiple departments, taking immediate responsibility for the operation. Using your superior man management skills and experience you will be a motivational leader setting goals, milestones and KPIs to ensure compliance with production and quality targets and to offer a service which meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Key skills/experience:
Substantial experience in a similar manufacturing role
Experience of Lean Manufacturing implementation
Electronic, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical engineering background
Proven ability to develop and drive strategic initiatives that reduce cost & lead time
Proven ability to motivate and influence staff
Candidates should be qualified to a degree level in a related discipline. Good communication skills are essential.
