This Client based in Berkshire is a large global electronics company and a major player in the GSM/3G mobile phone industry.
Due to the increase in work they require a Software UI Applications Engineers experienced in User Interface (UI), Linux and C++ to join their Research team.
Main Tasks/Prime Duties:
Perform system studies & feasibility studies for applications related software.
Analyse and understand new & existing software components and requirements.
Analyse and understand customer and standards requirements documents.
Produce technical specifications/functional requirements & reports from the above analysis.
Design the operation of new features for components.
Study/analyse future Application trends.
Producing and following through on innovation proposals related to work items
Key Skills:
Must be interested in new technologies and research projects (background in research ideal)
Should possess a drive to succeed with difficult challenges and timescales
Have a solid logical technical programming background (C/C++)
Understand and has a strong interest in UI and usability of devices
Has an interest and some understanding in/of web technologies (e.G.Web 2.0, HTML, Ajax etc.)
Ideally candidates will be qualified to a degree level in a related discipline.
