Business and Management Researcher
Hertfordshire, Berkhamsted
£28,000 - £32,000

Our client, one of the world's leading business schools, is a community of experienced academic faculty and consultants that prides itself in offering innovative and pragmatic perspectives to its clients, working in the areas of strategy, leadership and organisational change. They are looking to recruit a Researcher.

The role

They are currently seeking to appoint a Researcher to support the faculty in conducting rigorous, applied business and management research. The post holder will be a member of the Research Office, working alongside the Director of Research & Development, the Research Manager and other specialists to implement their research strategy.

The Researcher will be expected to provide support and assistance to faculty across Ashridge in the following areas:

* Research design
* Literature review
* Data collection and analysis
* Writing for academic publication and conferences
* Establishing links with other institutions (academic and business) to generate collaborative research initiatives.

Applicants should have a Doctorate in a business or management-related subject, a high degree of capability in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and be familiar with the journals and academic conferences related to at least one mainstream management discipline. Exposure to business, adult education and/or consultancy will also be viewed favourably.

The role will suit someone with broad research experience rather than a subject specialist. You will be required to respond to the research interests of faculty in helping them to develop their ideas rather than shaping the research agenda yourself. As such, you will have to be outgoing, able to work flexibly with senior colleagues and create your own opportunities to work with others.
