Our client is a leading manufacturer of mission-critical heavy engineering equipment used by global blue-chip businesses in extreme operating environments. A multinational business with revenues in excess of $2b, they are enjoying an unprecedented demand for their product.
This role is critical in ensuring that products and components from European sites are manufactured and supplied to the UK in line with project completion requirements.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for liaising between UK project managers, production and planning teams and their European counterparts to ensure delivery schedules are met.
To be considered for this post you will have to have a strong inclination to self-directed work and the ability to identify and solve problems within a complex supply chain / manufacturing process. In addition, you will need to demonstrate evidence of well developed interpersonal and relationship building skills, a sense of diplomacy, and a balance between charisma and tenacity that will allow you to chase delivery schedules without compromising relationships.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a broad knowledge and experience of:
-The impact of manufacturing supply chains, processes and planning on the purchasing and production functions.
-Forecasting loads and capacity
-Analysing and interpreting data to monitor delivery performance
-Some knowledge of project management will be useful although training will be provided where appropriate – a broad background in manufacturing, planning and scheduling including use of ERP and MRP software packages.
