My Client is the world leader in design and manufacture of high performance gearboxes for industrial and marine applications.
The opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Co-coordinator/Assistant to work in the Logistics/dispatch team. The position will be based in Worcestershire for a 4 month contract that could be extended.
The role:
Assist and Co-ordinate the loading of vehicles with safe working practices
Ensure Goods receipt, dispatch areas and relevant procedures are carried out.
Organise dispatch of goods in accordance with the contract/customer/customs.
Receive goods from suppliers. Sub contractor - checking quantities and completeness of documentation.
Ensure goods-dispatch notes are raised
Arrange the movement of goods delivered to inspection and/or stores
Launch manufacturing orders - monitor progress
Assist manufacturing with production order IT problems - MRP
Knowledge of MRP planning tools - within a manufacturing environment
Stock control experience
Practical experience (NVQ)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Fork lift trained would be advantage.
