SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESS MANAGER
Leading Importer & Distributor Sector

c£45,000 + benefits
Our client has a turnover of c£150m and is the UK market leader in their sector importing and distributing a diverse range of products to commercial customers through a UK-wide distribution network. Reporting to the Purchasing Director, the post-holder will work closely with other members of the executive and senior management teams to manage and develop the systems and processes within the procurement and supply chain activities of the company, to facilitate the next phase of margin and value growth.
The Challenge
• Designing and implementing initiatives and systems to ensure best practice and to enhance operational control and reporting;
• Managing a team of supervisors and administrators to deliver a highly efficient, accurate and timely service to the trading activities of the company;
• Building close working relationships across other central functions, particularly finance, shipping and with the Purchasing Manager, to establish and operate effective administration procedures
• Full responsibility for coordinating, managing and developing the purchasing, process and systems administration activities
The Candidate
• Extensive process and systems experience within a shipping, importing and distribution operation in an international trade environment;
• Wide knowledge of international trade procedures, a history of successful operational management in administrative roles and a clear understanding of financial and accounting principles;
• Commercial focus with the ability to understand broader business objectives and with indepth experience of managing supplier rebates;
• Degree calibre with strong commercial acumen, highly developed management and organisational skills and the ability to build and develop effective teams
