An outstanding opportunity has arisen within our supply chain team. Your role will be to develop, implement and monitor all logistics management activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and distribution of products. You will participate in the implementation of the organisations strategy for efficient product distribution, through providing data and recommendations on costing and usage alternatives. You will use shipping forecasts to develop short and long-term supply plans and schedules and provide support in determining carrier selections, and managing the relationship with carrier services. You will also manage the logistics team overall in order to assure the timely and efficient delivery. Educated to degree level, or the equivalent, the ideal candidate will have 1-2 years management experience, as well 4-5 years experience within the logistics and physical distribution environment. The candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, and will possess excellent negotiation, analytical, business and inventory planning skills. The candidate will also have the ability to deal with high complexities under great pressure.
