LOGISTICS MANAGER
Delivering excellence in retail logistics
Manchester up to £30K + benefits package
Our client – part of the UK market leader in home shopping – operates a nationwide network of 31 stores and clears over £35m of catalogue goods annually. The product range is extensive and encompasses everything from clothing to homeware and items of furniture. Store locations are diverse - from Scotland to South Wales.
The person appointed to this newly created role will take lead responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of the warehouse and distribution activities, which are provided on a ‘third party’ basis by other group companies. Your key objectives will be to contract manage the service providers to ensure the smooth interface of stock from point of order to shop delivery in the most cost effective and timely manner with optimised quality performance.
Key to success will be your ability to lead and motivate your team whilst developing positive relationships with service providers and key store personnel ensuring that service level performance is optimised and productivity output maximised. Hands on and credible, you will be a logistics professional with at least 3 years leadership experience in an FMCG/Retail environment. Warehousing experience is essential as is the possession of a CPC certificate and your achievements will include evidence of having influenced service providers to achieve operational excellence.
