Job Title: Support Engineer (Permanent Position) Responsible to: IT Systems Manager (based in Oldbury, West Midlands) Main Duties: *To provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels of support for end users Administering NDS, ADS and their integration for user and group creation, NDPS printer administration, etc *Fault Finding and Repairing of NDS and ADS *Installation and Support for file servers *Development and Deployment of systems to increase the reliability and performance of existing systems. *Documentation of all work carried out *Administration of Daily Backup and Archive Systems *Any other duties required for the successful running of the department Qualifications and Experience: *Experience of Netware, NDS & Windows 2000. *Experience of Server based application installation and deployment using traditional and automatic systems inc. SMS *Knowledge of Unix would be an advantage. *Educated to a minimum of HNC/HND or CNE6. We are looking for a person with at least two years experience in a Network support role.
