Solutions Delivery Project Manager (Maternity Cover)
Hounslow, West London
Circa £55,000 + medical, dental, travel insurance, non-contributory pension
Our client is a global player in the IT Services sector: their services keep people and information connected, from proactive business continuity through reactive disaster recovery to interactive high availability solutions, thereby helping over 10,000 clients worldwide have uninterrupted access to their business-critical information systems. They are looking to recruit a Solutions Delivery Project Manager.
Managed IT Services (MITS) is the group within Service Delivery that is responsible for all aspects of the management and maintenance of the production environment and environs. The Solutions Delivery Project Manager's primary function is to provide a single point of contact to new customers to facilitate their smooth install into the MITS production environment.
Solutions Delivery Project Managers are expected to provide an interface and support to the operational teams and provide tools and information to facilitate their roles. The Solutions Delivery Project Manager needs to be able to understand complex customer environments and provide constructive input and advice on best practice within a high availability environment. This advice is required to extend both to the customer, pre and post sale, and to internal teams.
Your job responsibilities will require you to:
- Develop, conduct, and promote proactive procedures to improve the availability and support of MITS systems environments.
- Manage multiple projects of varying complexities to successful completion and operational handover.
- Document customer operational environments and provide operational documentation to the operations teams.
- Ensure installation of customer environments in a timely, effective manner and in line with contracted terms.
- Provide a single point of contact and escalation to new and existing customers throughout their implementations project.
- Manage internal processes to engage effectively with other teams.
- Carry out all operational tasks and duties as defined within existing Operational Procedures and Service Level Agreements.
- Assist in the production of documentation and technical implementation details related to solutions to customer requirements to enable successful post-production management of those solutions.
A technical or Project Management background is required, with Prince II and PMI membership highly favoured. You will also be proficient in the advanced use of MS Office applications as awell as Visio and MS Project.
