ISP Network Design Engineer
London, Finchley – North London
£ up to £50,000 max depending on skills & exp
As ISP Network Design Engineer you will be part of the team responsible for designing the data network which facilitates the delivery of the company Internet and DSL products.
What you'll Do
* Be the Design Authority and technical expert for the company ISP network and company DSL services
* Prepare design documentation for all ISP network requirements, in accordance with the business processes and procedures and relevant Industry Standards
* Liaise with fundamental planning and architecture to produce detailed design information to allow the ISP networks to be developed in line with the business strategy
* Embrace new and complimentary technologies, conducting first rate technical and commercial evaluations
* Provide consultancy to the Customer Engineering and Sales Engineering teams,
* Establish and maintain Interconnections with 3rd-party ISP networks
* Participate in relevant Industry and Regulatory forums
What you'll Need
* To possess experience of ISP network design
* Be experienced in IP routing in an MPLS, and ISP environment including, TCP/IP, L2TP, BGP, MPLS, OSPF
* Be knowledgeable to CCIP/CCNP/CCDP level – accreditation is highly desirable
* Preferably have an understanding of QoS techniques and implementation
* Demonstrate first rate communication skills – comfortable and confident engaging at all levels
* Be well organised with the ability to manage your own workload in a fast paced deadline driven environment
* Demonstrate all of the personal qualities commensurate with this level of role
