2 x Core Network Engineers

They are currently recruiting for 2 x Core Network Engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation who are focused on the delivery of 1st rate service to business customers throughout the UK.
As a Core Network Engineer you will provide a highly technical third line support capability within Data Operations to maintain and improve the company's leading edge core networks. You will be working at the cutting edge of converged networking and supporting some of the premier networking equipment in production.
Role and responsibilities:
* Fault resolution, both as a highly technical aid to 1st and 2nd line support and in a lapse time investigative capacity.
* To provide training resource to 1st and 2nd line support teams.
* To assess and enhance policies and procedures within Data Operations.
* To provide support co-ordination and technical expertise to the role out of all new Products, Services and Infrastructure.
* To provide detailed network analysis using appropriate testers.
* To compile reports with recommendations on Network Incident's, SI's.
* To represent Network Operations as required at internal and external meetings.
* Identify and participate in trials of new products to enhance support levels.
*Carry out ad-hoc investigations with reporting and recommendations.
Experience required
* Proven experience in operation and maintenance of Data Networks.
* Excellent organisational, presentation and communication skills.
* Computer Literate, highly technical.
* Ability to appreciate a range of customer requirements.
* Previous experience supporting a large scale corporate network.
* Excellent awareness of relevant technologies, primarily Cisco, MPLS, IP, QOS, BGP.
There is a level of flexibility over location of these roles and they would consider Glasgow, Hillington or London.
The salary for this role would be up to £43,000 plus benefits.
