Our client is the UK arm of one of Europe's largest and most successful IT Services Organisations. The UK is one of the fastest growing and most strategically important markets for the Group, delivering a full range of IT Services to many of the UK's leading organisations. They are looking to recruit an Oracle DBA – Database Administrator.
You will provide support for critical production systems using Oracle 9i and 10g plus Oracle Application Server 10gAS and therefore must have some experience supporting Oracle databases in a production environment. Working within the DBA team you will be involved in:
* Implementation and upgrades of Oracle database and OAS software
* Performance monitoring
* Routine database support and housekeeping
* Backup and recovery of Oracle data
* Problem identification and resolution
* Support and advice to Clients and in-house teams on Oracle database issues
Mandatory Skills:
* Oracle database administration for 9i and 10g
* Oracle Application Server 10gAS administration
Desirable Skills:
* Oracle RAC deployment
* Oracle Dataguard
* Oracle RMAN
* Unix shell scripting
