Web Designer / Graphic Designer (HTML / CSS / Photoshop)
West London, Acton W3
£28,000 – £30,000 + performance related bonus
Our client is a successful, profitable Internet company – and part of HomeAway.com, the world's largest network of holiday rental listing websites with over 160,000 properties available in over 100 countries, for rent directly from their owners. They're currently looking for someone with plenty of web and graphic design experience who is also interested in usability and has the potential to manage usability and user research sessions and facilitate client workshops.
You will have good interpersonal and communications skills (with perfect written English), as well good technical skills. Reporting to the Brand Manager this is a cross functional position which will work closely with the Technical Team.
Your responsibilities within the role will include:
- HTML / CSS production for websites and email broadcasts
- Graphic design for both web and print
- Creation of wireframes, process flows and mock-ups for new website products & processes
- Ability to contribute to and write specifications for new website features
- Liaising with members of both the Business and Technical teams as needed, to collaborate on projects
- Usability & user experience, preferably including facilitating user testing sessions
- Research and benchmarking other websites
Person specification, qualifications & skills:
- Must have excellent professional HTML, CSS and Photoshop skills
- Expertise in all aspects of graphic design for both web and print
- Experience of creating mock-ups and wireframes is a must, while writing of specs and conducting user research testing sessions is highly desirable
- You should thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, yet flexible environment
- Must be a self-motivated, high-energy and creative individual with a hands-on approach
- Good communications skills (perfect written English is essential)
- Ideally you will also speak at least one other European language, though this is not essential
