Spitfire Network Services Ltd has established a strong market presence as a value added provider of computer networks, telephone systems, internet access and telecommunications carrier services to SMEs within the M25. Spitfire is a Tier 2 ISP, an Annex 2 Licensed Telecommunications Operator and a Microsoft Solution Provider. Working in partnership with world-class suppliers, it has achieved an enviable reputation for quality of service amongst its customers. The ISP group is responsible for the management of ISP services and the installation and support of associated WAN solutions. The group now requires a: - ISP Engineering Team Leader Salary: Negotiable Based: Vauxhall SW8 5BL Holidays: 20 working days per annum. Increasing by one day per year with the company to a maximum of 25 days Benefits: Permanent Health Insurance The Challenge Direction, planning and control of installation and support services Leadership and line management of the engineering team Personal fulfilment of senior engineering work Management of the ISP network Implementation and ongoing application of processes and procedures Development of new products and services The Requirements Knowledge and experience of ISP, Routers, LAN & WAN technologies Interior routing protocols such as RIP and OSPF. BGP, transit/peering RIPE / Routing registry data maintenance (AS16082) Knowledge of ISP services Unix, BSD, Linux, Windows Mail servers such as Exim, Postfix, Qmail or Sendmail Bind, Radius Knowledge and experience of WAN technologies Dial, xDSL, Leased line, ATM, MPLS, Fibre A strong awareness of security and associated technologies Packet filters and firewalls Virtual Private Networking AAA Virus and UBE Mitigation Abuse / Security best practices Interest in VoIP and converged solutions Appropriate certifications useful but not essential CCIE, CCIP, CCSP, CCNP LINX II or III Experience within the SME market Strong customer service ethic and attention to detail An enthusiastic self starter who will take ownership of projects Graduate, equivalent academic ability, with a minimum of three years experience of managing projects and teams ideally within an ISP Living within the London area To apply please send CV with covering letter detailing your suitability for the role to: response@web-recruit.net Please note that CVs sent without a covering letter will be disregarded.
