Desktop Support Analyst / Consultant
London, Hammersmith

Our client is an IT Services company, specialising in ICT solutions tailored to clients' needs. They are looking to recruit a Desktop Support Analyst / Consultant.
The role:
They are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst/Consultant to provide a high level of IT service to a client in the pharmaceutical industry, supporting the desktop and LAN environment against pre-determined service levels, as well as completing project work. This position is based in Hammersmith, London, reporting to an on-site Team Leader. You will be required to maintain good practice and governance within the client's working practices, policies and corporate standards. Normal hours of work: 08h00-16h30 and 09h30-18h00 on alternate weeks.
Essential skills/qualifications: the following MCP exams are critical: MS XP Desktop Exam (70/279), Lotus Notes V6. You will also need experience of Compaq desktop hardware, HP Laser printer, LAN and TCP/IP. It would be also be advantageous to have experience in remote administration, computer system validation, Symantec Ghost and Scripting.
Personal attributes: strong inter-personal skills, high level of accuracy, accountability, ability to prioritise, high tolerance to pressure situations, good written and verbal communication skills, ability to give technical support telephonically, problem solving skills, own initiative. They are looking for somebody able to work within a team, and with flexibility towards occasional after hours working.
This is a permanent position, with an immediate start date, and provides an opportunity for career progression within the company.
