Business Analyst / Product Analyst
London, Central London SW1

Our client is a fast growing credit market software and data company. The company is headquartered in London and has its North American presence in New York. The company has over 35 employees and is growing rapidly.
This rapid growth, and the need to meet demanding product build and launch schedules, have created an opportunity for a Product/Business Analyst with experience gained in a structured software development environment to join the London based Product team.
The role will involve:
- Proactive collection, research and documentation of user requirements for new and existing products
- Analysis of market and competitor products to identify gap closing requirements
- Production of detailed functional specifications and data models
- Creation of client facing documentation to explain content, functionality and user interfaces
- Liaison with development teams and participation in project management throughout the product lifecycle
The candidate will require:
- Very strong analytical skills and ability to understand pricing of financial instruments
- Experience and knowledge of structured business analysis methodologies
- Strong knowledge of UML modelling approaches
- Good technical understanding of SQL databases and advanced Excel skills (VBA)
- Knowledge of Credit Derivatives market, it's main data providers and commonly used trading platforms
- Excellent communications and client facing skills
All candidates will be expected to demonstrate a personal interest in market trends and new products, and will require a good grasp of market practices and conventions. The role will involve external client facing work and requires a highly professional demeanour and the ability to work well under pressure while handling multiple tasks.
Candidates should also exhibit strong interest in the commercial as well as technical aspects of the job and be able to demonstrate the flexibility and commitment expected within a small fast growing company. They must be educated to at least bachelor degree level or equivalent, be fast learners and possess a positive personality.
