Senior Analyst Programmer, Support Analyst - Cobol
Central London SW1 (or Solihull, West Midlands)
£28,000 - £35,000 p.a. + Benefits
Our client is a leading software provider with a prestigious blue chip client base. They are looking to recruit a Senior Analyst Programmer, Support Analyst.
The role:
They are looking to recruit a Senior Analyst Programmer to join their Application Support team in supporting their leading logistics and warehouse management solution. This role will include analysing business requirements, providing software enhancements, resolving operational support issues and rectifying software issues.
You will have demonstrable experience working as a Senior Analyst Programmer, ideally within a customer-facing environment. An excellent working knowledge of Microfocus Cobol using an Oracle Database is essential, preferably in a Unix environment. Exposure to .Net, Java or C++ is desirable.
You will have a professional, self-motivated and flexible attitude and will understand the need to work within organisational standards and to strict deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment and a good understanding of support issues within the IT industry. This role may include travel to other company offices or client sites. The role may be based in either Central London, or Solihull - should this role be based in Solihull regular travel to the London office will be required.
