Software Developer - .NET, C#, Windows Forms

Our client is a technology consulting and IT services practice, that helps organisations select and deploy technologies to meet their business goals. They are looking to recruit a Software Developer - .NET, C#, Windows Forms.
They are seeking a Software Developer with strong technical skills to join their growing software development team, to work on both client projects and internal product development.
The successful candidate will also be a good communicator and a team player. Some team leading experience would be helpful (but not essential). Previous experience in financial services is a nice to have (but not essential as technical ability and experience will be valued much higher).
Responsibilities will include: analysing and documenting business requirements; functional and technical design; software coding; testing; deployment; documentation; maintenance and support. You will also have the opportunity to grow into a team leadership role.
Applications will be favoured from those with a strong academic background (preferably a minimum of a 2.1 Degree from a reputable university).
Core Competencies:
- Previous experience developing commercial applications in Visual Studio, using C# and Microsoft SQL Server
- Working experience with both Windows Forms and ASP.NET
- Experience with Web Services, XML and XML Schema
- An understanding of Object Oriented analysis and design, and patterns
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- .NET Framework 2.0 experience
- SQL Server 2005 experience
- Experience developing Enterprise Systems
- Agile and iterative methodologies experience
- Financial Services industry experience
- BizTalk
- SharePoint
- Crystal Reports
- SQL Server Reporting Services
- Infragistics NetAdvantage suite
