Our client has an unrivalled 15-year track record of fixing tough IT problems for some of Europes biggest companies. We help solve end-to-end problems in complex multi-tiered systems. They are looking for exceptional network engineers and consultants to join their troubleshooting team. Youll need a minimum of 5 years IT experience and a resumé that demonstrates your desire and ability to learn. Technically, you should have a thorough knowledge of at least the essentials in the following: * Ethernet switching - essential * IP routing - essential * Firewall technologies - essential * Educated to degree level - essential * Sound mathematical ability - essential * Proficient use of Excel - essential * Windows 2000/2003 - preferable * Active Directory - preferable * Use of network analyser - preferable * SQL Server, Oracle, etc. - nice to have * LINUX / UNIX - nice to have * Programming (any language) - nice to have Youll need the right personality too. We are looking for a team player who wont walk away when the going gets tough. We need people who are happy to research an issue and then come up with solutions based on sound reasoning. Youll need to feel comfortable presenting your findings and opinions to technical staff and managers. At all times we will expect you to act in a professional manner and look the part. The job is based at our Great Dunmow office, with 90% of time in the office and 10% at customer sites. We have customers all over the UK although 90% are in London and the South East. Well spend time mentoring you and developing your skills. In particular we will broaden your skills into areas such as stress testing and application performance analysis.
