Our client is a web software development company based in Leicester in the East Midlands. They provide bespoke web applications to web design firms, marketing companies, and advertising agencies. They have an immediate vacancy for a Web Systems Analyst / Junior Database Programmer / Software Account Manager role.
This is a customer focused role, so strong communication skills are required, including the ability to build and defend positions. We're looking for someone with an analytical problem-solving mind and the technical knowledge to support their endeavours.
Responsibilities will include liaising with customers to identify their requirements and produce specifications accordingly. The ability to keep project participants updated and focused on delivering to targets is crucial, so the right person will have good organisational skills and the ability to keep a clear head under pressure and manage expectations effectively.
The successful applicant will also be required to make minor modifications to software, so a good understanding of database design and OO programming techniques is essential - ideally in a .NET environment.
You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in dealing direct with customers in a technical capacity, have an excellent and clear telephone manner, and have a strong knowledge of web application development. You will also need to visit clients on occasions, so a full, clean driving license is required.
The company works only in ASP.NET with C# and MS SQL Server. However, candidates with strong OO ability in any language (C++, Java, etc.) will be considered.
