Java/J2EE developer required by our client a leading provider of financial services software based in Alrincham, Cheshire (close to Manchester). Your key responsibilities are to undertake all tasks within the software development lifecycle, to write and review business and technical specifications and test plans, to write and test high quality and efficient software, to act as a support programmer, and to contribute to the technical improvement of the company's products while continuing to improve developments standards and procedures. To be considered for this role you must have a good knowledge of development lifecycles, and UNIX and/or Windows Systems. As well as excellent programming skills and aptitude, experience of programming in J2EE is also essential. An honors degree in a computing or scientific subject is required at 2:1 or higher, some flexibility on degree-level qualification may be available depending on experience and other relevant professional qualifications.
