IT Technical Consultant required by our client a leading provider of financial services software based in Alrincham, Cheshire (close to Manchester) . You will be required to support and maintain a Windows 2003 Server domain, Windows Desktop environments and a number of MS-SQL Server databases. In addition to this you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining client systems, maintenance of the firewall as well as performing a technical role within internal and client related projects. To be considered for the role you must have commercial experience in Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange administration, MS-SQL Administration, Firewall Administration and 2 years or more in general systems administration. It is desired that you have experience in UNIX, Oracle administration, Citrix, networking and web development. You should have an honors degree in Computing or scientific subject at 2:1 or higher, however candidates who have 3 A-levels at grade B or above along with a high level of experience may also be considered.
