Informix DBA with 4+yrs experience required by our Crewe, Cheshire based client (commutable from Manchester and Staffordshire). This challenging role will see you being subject matter expert and responsible for the Design, Build and Implementation and troubleshooting of business systems databases. This will include helping drive improvements, development and design in increasing database efficiency and usage. To be considered you must have a minimum of 4 years commercial design and operational experience in Informix DB, with good working knowledge of the OS platforms running IBM AIX 4.3.3 and 5.2, Informix 9.21 and 9.4 and Windows 2000 Server for IIS Configuration and ODBC links. Knowledge and experience of High Availability Data Replication in the Informix environment would also be a bonus. Other flavours of Unix also considered (Solaris, HP-UX etc).
