Our Client is one of the UK's leading data services companies. They help their clients to maximise the value of their customer data, empowering them to make better, more informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities of the role are to undertake the development and build of new databases, and to provide support and ongoing maintenance to existing databases. The Database Developer will be required to produce database selections in accordance with defined criteria and assist in the analysis of sample data, as well as other duties as required.
Educated to degree-level or equivalent with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, the successful candidate will have at least two years' experience of Oracle database development using PL/SQL, and strong SQL skills. Knowledge of Windows batch-scripting is essential, and knowledge of VB or C is desirable. Flexibility, commitment and excellent organisational skills are pre-requisites, along with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining the highest level of accuracy. Any file processing experience would be advantageous.
