Our CLient is the leading UK system integrator for solutions based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies, which are already revolutionizing many areas of business where bar codes have previously dominated. Part of the £1.2 billion LINPAC Group, Intellident Ltd has already secured the world's largest contract for the roll-out of RFID technology in the retail supply chain.
To support our aggressive growth, we are looking for 2 Software Development Engineers to work on both new and existing projects.
These roles that will require the individuals to be a disciplined and conscientious software developer, with experience of the development of process driven applications in business critical systems. Projects will include both fixed installation and mobile solutions. They will be experienced in the development of user interfaces, will have an appreciation of hardware, and have a good customer facing approach to solving problems.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 to 4 years experience in a software development role, and be eager to progress and develop both their technical and their personal skills.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Development and improvement of existing software, based on new Customer requirements.
• Development of new, business critical, software, based on Customer requirements and internal requirements to attack new market areas.
• Development of User Interfaces. Good understanding of the interaction between user and process.
KEY SKILLS
• Competent in Delphi and/or C# programming. Experience of other languages, e.g. C, C++ could be beneficial.
• Experience of Windows development environment including CE, and experience of PDA programming. Experience of GPRS, GSM software developments.(Essential for one position, not necessary for the other)
• Personable and approachable. Work will involve dealing directly with Customers and helping to solve their problems.
• Disciplined approach to software development. Specifications, analysis, design, version control, etc…
• Ability to work within a team of Developers, yet have the confidence to work independently whenever necessary.
• Desire to complete the task.
