Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (UNIX, Test, C), Cambridge, Immediate Educated to degree level or equivalent, in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant discipline. Initial Experience At least one year experience in software or hardware development environment, ideally within a dedicated test team or QA function and preferably within a formal Quality System An appreciation of relevant Quality requirements and processes An understanding of hardware and embedded software development for multiple platforms and environments including UNIX and Windows based operating systems A good general knowledge of computer hardware An understanding of embedded systems and software or hardware A working knowledge of Environmental testing (hardware only) An appreciation of IT security An awareness of Internet technologies, protocols and standards Initial Skills The ability to analyse complex technical problems and offer innovative, reasoned and practical solutions to demanding requirements Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment The ability to prioritise, manage own workload, be flexible, work under pressure and to demanding deadlines For further details, please contact andrew@probecomms.co.uk or call on 0207 745 7213.
