Business/Systems Analyst
Cambridgeshire, Cambridge
£30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience + Pension Scheme + Bonus Scheme
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced business or systems analyst (within a large and diverse manufacturing environment) to help define the current use and re-development of our client's world wide ERP systems.
This opportunity is key to modelling the improved business process and in supporting the process of mapping the transition path from the current systems to new systems.
You should have experience of the entire software development cycle from requirement gathering, benefit definition, risk/opportunity analysis through to system design and from test planning through to creating operational guide documents and post-implementation benefits analysis. You will also need experience of using enterprise-level process modelling software.
Responsibilities will include:
* Analysis and development of detailed system requirements from process models developed by the business
* Participation in the business process modelling work and the refinement of models
* Assisting in the analyses and design of data migration and system integration
* Analysis of existing ERP systems to model current data structures and their functional use
* Development of the process models, data structures, data relationships and system requirements for the two-way transfer of data and control between the existing and new ERP systems
* Analysis of risks and management of their resolution
* Liaison with third party and internal developers
* Review of the potential solutions for the new systems and the assessment of their impact on the business
* Creation, reviews and maintenance of project documents and project plans
The candidate should be logical problem solver, with the ability to challenge people's assumptions in a diplomatic manner. You will also require strong communication skills to allow cross functional relationships to be developed.
There may also be the need for flexibility to allow travel throughout the EU and USA.
