Our client is currently ranked in the top 3 developers of Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing games in the world. Based in Cambridge it currently runs and developes an online virtual world visited by over 1 million paying customers.
To maintain this global online world our client operates remote servers all over the world, you will be responsible for maintaining these using an excellent knowledge of Linux administration. You will work closely with hosting companies and be required to troubleshoot a wide variety of system administration problems.
Expierence with Debian Linux, Cisco IOS software and Windows OS is essential. An oppertunity to lead the team is also available if you have expierence in managing a similar techincal team. A knowledge of Java would be seen a great bonus as their gaming world is written exclusively using this language.
