Join a new team within an exciting company focused on delivering total digital solutions and services for the production, broadcast and entertainment industries. They combine state-of-the-art hardware with open, software-based solutions that can be used in the creation of Digital Video, Feature & Indie Films, Broadcast Graphics, Interactive Games and Web Development.
Prime Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be a critical part of a highly focussed and dynamic team who are developing a revolutionary new open source, Linux-based application. Your responsibility will be to ensure that video, audio and other media items are appropriately stored in an SQL database that you have developed along with their respective Metadata. This database will sit within the core of the new application. At its inception the database that you create will operate on a local basis but this will quickly have to grow into a shared database and then finally become a database working across the network.
Essential Skills
- High level of experience developing SQL databases for video/audio applications.
- Good knowledge of Metadata systems particularly with respect to dealing with video asset management.
- High level of experience with C++.
- Natural enthusiasm for the Open Source community.
