An opportunity has arisen to join a large national company with over 30,000 employees to work in their IM department. The company have chosen Oracle as the platform to manage their business information. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a developer to work on complex and challenging modifications to the E- Business suite to ensure they fit the needs of the company.

The role:

They are looking to recruit an Oracle Applications Developer.

Key Accountabilities
* To design, develop and maintain customisations and extensions to the Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle Applications) as required by project and production support teams.
* Analyse and tune existing customisations and provide supporting documentation that is accurate and conforms to Company Standards.
* Assess the impact of Oracle patches and technical upgrades upon customised code and provide solution options.
* Resolve support issues within the production environment as required.
* Identify and develop of code to be used as a common code library.
* Provide technical advice and consultancy to IM and the business.

Essential Skills
* Development and implementation experience in Oracle Applications 11i (11.5.9, 11.5.10)
* Strong PL/SQL, SQL, Forms 6i, Report 6i, Workflow, shell scripting, Oracle Framework Developer and Java.
* Strong experience in using Oracle API's and AIM
* Strong design skills; works closely with analysts and technical support team to explore different technical design approaches and make design recommendations to fit high-level business requirements.
* Ability to manage activities with short due dates while still following established change control processes
* Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation

Desirable skills
* Experience in one or more of HRMS, Financials, Projects, C&P, CRM and EAM modules
* Experience in one or more of the following tools: Oracle Discoverer, XML Publisher, Noetix
* Understanding and experience of testing processes and tools such as Mercury
* Knowledge of Oracle Approval Management Engine
