This a fantastic opportunity to join our client's Customer Service team as an Operational Support Manager.

The role:

Based in the Southend office the main scope of the role is to ensure that the company Customer Service Operations is equipped with the appropriate systems, tools, applications and telephony required in order to deliver world class customer service. The role holder will be accountable and responsible for identifying, scoping and delivering IT Projects to Customer Services whilst continuing to support in-life systems, tools and applications.

The main responsibilities of the role:

* Lead the Operations Support Team
* Investigate, document and review the support lifecycle for business critical systems, applications and telephony
* Gather systems development requirements and produce a ‘statement of requirements' feeding input into Development areas
* Design, deploy and regularly test the Business Continuity Plan
* Ensure that outsourced partners IT support requirements are understood and delivered
* Ensure that all business critical systems, telephony and applications are appropriately supported and are resilient
* Represent Customer Services interests on all relevant IT Projects
* Liaise with Internal Systems to ensure appropriate levels of support are being maintained

The background and experience required:

* Experience within an IT operational support role with expertise in change management; security; problem resolution procedures
* Ability to document systems, processes and issues
* Adaptable and quick learner who is comfortable with new technologies and processes
* Able to plan and prioritise workload, and work under pressure
* Influencing skills in dealing with Third parties, IT development and IT Support to ensure the solution and service meet operational requirements
