Customer Services Representative
East Anglia, Ipswich
£12,000 - £14,500

As Customer Services Representative, you will be working in our client's customer contact centre. You will be providing support to all new or existing personal insurance customers on behalf of an Intermediary or Corporate Partner.

Key accountabilities:

* To appropriately use the Representative tools, following company call guidance at all times
* To up-sell and cross sell - meeting the company's guidelines and requirements
* Applies underwriting criteria in accordance with established procedures and authority limits
* To keep product knowledge up to date by attending all briefing sessions and reading relevant updates
* Work within the codes for private customers that support the FSA and GISC including the company's complaints handling procedures
* To accurately process any mid term adjustment request
* To assist the customer in determining the best solution when a request to cancel insurance is made
* Demonstrate commitment and loyalty in supporting the on going achievement of the company Brand values

Skills, knowledge and behaviour:

* Excellent telephone skills - clear confident manner, active listening skills and the ability to build rapport/relationships with customers.
* Accuracy and speed when dealing with numerical and verbal information.
* Highly customer focused.
* Basic keyboard skills are essential.
* Knowledge of Motor and Household products desirable, although full product training will be given
* Previous experience working in a customer service environment is essential, perhaps retail or hospitality.
