Customer Services Representative
Suffolk, Ipswich
£12,000 - £14,500
As a world leading Financial Services Company, our client knows that achieving success is built on some very simple foundations. Listen to your customers, communicate the benefits of your products and be efficient in the way you deliver your service. They are looking to recruit a Customer Services Representative.
Working in the organisation's customer contact centre, you will provide support to all new or existing personal insurance customers on behalf of an Intermediary or Corporate Partner.
Within the role, your key accountabilities will be:
- To appropriately use the Representative tools, following all guidance at all times
- To up-sell and cross sell - meeting guidelines and requirements
- Applies underwriting criteria in accordance with established procedures and authority limits
- To keep product knowledge up to date by attending all briefing sessions and reading relevant updates
- Work within the codes for private customers that support the FSA and GISC including complaints handling procedures
- To accurately process any mid term adjustment request
- To assist the customer in determining the best solution when a request to cancel insurance is made
- Demonstrate commitment and loyalty in supporting the on going achievement of Brand values
Skills, knowledge and behaviour required:
- Excellent telephone skills - clear confident manner, active listening skills and the ability to build rapport/relationships with customers.
- Accuracy and speed when dealing with numerical and verbal information.
- Highly customer focused.
- Basic keyboard skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Motor and Household products desirable, although full product training will be given
- Previous experience working in a customer service environment is essential, perhaps retail or hospitality.
