Laboratory Customer Services Manager
Glamorgan, Cardiff
Salary £30,000 (subject to experience) + benefits including pension
Our client is one of the world's leading companies in analysis of drugs in hair and saliva. They have an established reputation in drug testing with a range of international clients across a wide variety of sectors. They are looking to recruit a Laboratory Customer Services Manager.
The role:
Their planned growth has created the requirement for an experienced customer focused manager to manage the interface between sales and the laboratory and be responsible for delivery of final results to the customer.
Reporting to the Laboratory Director, managing three functions teams, you will manage the: -
* Improvements to customer service delivery targets and manage operational work flow
*Receipt & log in of all samples into the laboratory system(LIMS)
* Liaison with Sales/Lab to resolve problems and improve customer service
* Basic preparation of samples for analysis and other support functions.
* Progress of samples, to ensure reports are accurate and delivered on time.
* The delivery and clarification of all results to clients.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing successful teams both administrative and operational gained ideally within a production environment.
Confidence in explaining complex technical / scientific data to customers is essential, as is the ability to influence peers within the business and manage your teams to meet agreed standards of quality and performance. A qualification in biology/chemistry or similar would be advantageous but not essential.
This is very much a people oriented position where these people may range from Laboratory Technicians to Customers anxious about their own project targets. Diplomacy tact and excellent listening skills are essential. The successful applicant will be someone who is 100% customer focused, who gets a real satisfaction from “making things happen”.
